Theo was born in London and comes from a large Greek Cypriot family. He lived in America for five years and has eaten his way around most of the planet with a backpack. Theo is married with three children and lives in Hertfordshire.

He is passionate about healthy eating and is known for cooking ‘elegant village food’ inspired by the flavours of Cyprus, travelling and global cuisine, creating innovative family friendly recipes that satisfy the reality of modern life.

After reaching the semi-finals of Masterchef 2014, Theo resigned from his position as a Board Member of a PLC to follow his passion for food and has never looked back.

Theo started out running his own sell-out pop up restaurant in Hertfordshire cooking an 8-course taster menu championing modern Greek cuisine inspired by his family - this still has a waiting list of over 700. His private chef experience, creating exclusive dinner parties for private clients received recognition by The Financial Times and Telegraph in 2017. Both services won the regional ‘Best Lifestyle Service’ award  – (read his cooking reviews here).

Theo is now the full time Executive Chef for Elsewhere Events creating imaginative dining experiences for Elsewhere’s venues and popup events around the world and he has been a guest chef at the Sheraton Grande in Bangkok. Theo is also working on recipes with David Lloyd Clubs and Crystal Palace Football Club.

When creating recipes or cooking for the public Theo firmly believes in keeping things in context of modern life: “We would all like to eat like a Greek; grazing over dinner with the family for several hours. But the

reality of modern life in the UK isn’t conducive; we’re too busy! But with a little innovation everyone can cook using fresh ingredients no matter how much time they have”. Theo’s inspiration for food originates from his roots, his travels, cooking for his family and his love of anything cooked over charcoal.

Theo is a guest chef on ITV’s flagship daytime show This Morning, writes a weekly food column for Best Magazine and has contributed to BBC radio numerous times. He was featured in National Geographic Food magazine first edition and has also appeared on BBC Breakfast News, Sky TV and The Food Network amongst others. He has been a regular judge for the annual Quality Food Awards and is frequently called upon by the national press and media for comment and interviews on private dining, food and drink trends and recipe inspiration. He is also regularly spotted cooking at food festivals and has a number of other projects up his sleeve.

He is a successful published author twice over with a third cookbook ‘Orexi! - Feasting at the Modern Greek Table’ was published in April 2019 and his latest book ‘Share’ is due out in spring 2020.
