After reaching the heats of the semi-finals on Masterchef 2014, Theo resigned from his IT business of 15 years to follow his passion for food and is now an Executive Chef for an international events business for the past five years. Born in London, Theo comes from a large Greek Cypriot family. He lived in America for five years and has backpacked around the world. He now lives in Hertfordshire with his wife, three children and dog.  

Theo has drawn food inspiration from his roots, his travels and cooking for his family. He’s particularly keen on anything cooked over charcoal. Theo combines his love of Greek Cypriot and global cuisine with the reality of modern life in the UK by innovating recipes to help Brits cook and eat well.

His private chef experience, creating exclusive dinner parties for private clients has received recognition by The Financial Times and Telegraph and he has won the regional ‘Best Lifestyle Service’ award  – (read his cooking reviews here).

Theo is an Executive Chef for Elsewhere Events, an international events company creating imaginative dining experiences for high profile events for both private and commercial clients (Amazon, Sony, Acast, Ikea, etc.) Theo has also been a guest chef at the Sheraton Grande in Bangkok.

Theo is no stranger to food festivals either, demonstrating (and guest speaker) at National Geographic’s first food festival in London in July 2019 and has been invited back to present on the main stage for ‘The National Geographic Traveller Food Festival’ in July 2022.


Theo is regularly in the media; a longstanding guest chef on ITV’s This Morning, BBC Morning Live, Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, as well as appearing on The Food Network and is a regular on BBC radio.

He also contributes to various publications and his weekly food column for Best Magazine ran for three years.

During the first lockdown in March 2019 Theo was coined by international press as the ‘UK’s Home Economist’ after hosting 36 live cookalongs with his children with thousands of families around the world joining in. All recipes from his shows are in his Kids Lockdown Cookbook.


Theo is an award-winning author; written six cookbooks, two of which have won the Gourmande World Cookbook Awards and been translated into three languages.

Theo’s most recent books published by Ryland Peters & Small include Orexi, SHARE, Rustica, Canned and is currently working on his next publication.


Theo’s personable and approachable style has made him popular with brands looking to build connections with their consumers. He has worked with numerous food related brands; to include the David Lloyd Clubs developing recipes and demonstrating for their digital content. He is also a Brand Ambassador for Kenwood.

Theo is co-founder of a new innovative meal planning and shopping platform.
